About the club

Since kickoff

Ascent Rec Soccer League started with a group chat, a borrowed set of bibs, and a standing argument about who's actually any good. It grew into a proper recreational league — and we kept the group-chat energy.

The idea

Serious enough to keep score. Loose enough to enjoy it.

Most adult leagues make you choose: hyper-competitive rep-team intensity, or a kickabout with no stakes. We wanted the middle — a real fixture list, a table you check on Monday morning, and zero tolerance for anyone who takes a Tuesday-night 7v7 too seriously.

Divisions are set by ability, not ambition, so a first-timer and a former varsity keeper both get a game worth playing. Seasons run eight weeks, wrap with a cup weekend, and everything you need — the schedule, the standings, the results — lives on this site.

Organizers keep it all current by dropping a spreadsheet into the backend after each matchweek. No dev required, no stale PDFs — the tables you see are the tables as of the last final whistle.

Everyone plays

No benched ringers, no lopsided divisions. We balance sides so every match is a contest and every player gets real minutes.

Keep the table honest

Results go in each week and the standings update the same night. What you see is what happened on the grass.

The third half

The whistle isn't the end of the night. Every fixture has a home pub, and the league tab is the real trophy.

The motto

Rise Together

Ascent is the climb, not the summit — and nobody makes it up alone.

An ex-varsity striker and a first-timer in borrowed boots share the same mountain, just at different elevations. Divisions keep the games fair; the third half keeps them worth it. You'll leave sharper — and with a squad that notices when you're not there. A season only counts if everyone had one.
